WHY I STAND WITH JK ROWLING'S SUPPORT FOR SEX-BASED RIGHTS

The way things are going in 2025, it won't be long before trans-activists accuse everybody of bigotry if we donate to breast cancer research without donating to the prostate cancer fund first.

OVERVIEW:

JK Rowling is under fire again, this time for announcing funding for a women-only rape shelter. There are countless reasons a woman might want a rape shelter that doesn't have male-bodied people inside, but female rape survivors are now viewed as bigots if we are triggered and traumatized when approached in enclosed spaces by male-bodied strangers.

Every person has the right to donate to whatever charity they want. Boy George, Pedro Pascal, Stephen Fry, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint are all wealthy, as is Emma Watson. Instead of demonizing JK Rowling for building women's shelters, perhaps her critics could pool their funds to build shelters specifically for transwomen. They cannot compel her to offer charity to a group of their choosing. Will they call her ageists for donating to a seniors fund instead of something that benefits children? Is she anti-human if she asists a pet shelter instead of a homeless shelter? JK Rowling has made a decision to help women and girls, as is her right. Anyone who wants to advocate for transwomen is more than welcome to raise money to build rape shelters for transwomen. It's highly unlikely many women will scream bigotry, if we are denied access to a shelter for male-bodied rape survivors.

BOOKSMITH ON HAIGHT, SAN FRANCISCO CALIFORNIA

A private bookstore in San Francisco has un-shelved Rowling's famous Harry Potter series, deeming her "transphobic" after she announced funding for a women-only rape shelter. As a private business, they have the right to stop investing in her franchise, but they should not have the right to correlate her charity with transphobia.

JK Rowling has never advocated to shut-down services for trans people, nor to ban them from the military. She has not attacked their right to live or present as they choose. Rowling has never advocated to strip trans people of medical care, the right to rent a home, or freely walk down the street. JK Rowlings crime, according to Men's Rights Activists of our time, is that she believes women and girls should have consent around their own perceived comfort and safety. JK Rowling supports sex-based rights for the most oppressed group in the world. And the #misogynists are livid.

If JK Rowling is transphobic, so too, is the #metoo movement and its tenets to underline the right of women to exercise #consent around our safety. #nomeansno

1). DO YOU BELIEVE ALL TRANSWOMEN INNOCENT LADIES WHO JUST WANT TO USE WOMEN'S BATHROOMS TO PEE? OR DO YOU READ FACT-BASED STUDIES?

Correctional Services in Canada released a study in 2021 that found a large number of transwomen in the prison system were convicted sex-criminals.

"Transwomen were the largest group (62%) of gender diverse offenders indicated, followed by transmen (21%) and the "other" group (17%). Two-fifths (40%) of the study group were serving a second or subsequent sentence; these offenders had an established criminal history and the majority (86%) were convicted of violent offences. Overall, gender-diverse offenders were identified as high-static and dynamic risk, with 60% having a low reintegration potential." CLICK HERE FOR SOURCE

It should also be noted that a large percentage of these offenders had been victims of violence. We all know victims of violence can become protectors or perpetrators, so this fact is an unfortunate tragedy for all involved.

The existence of sexual predators within the trans community, particularly among transwomen, makes it reasonable to establish rights for trans people that are separate from the sex-based rights of biological women and girls, who are often the victims of all male-generated violence.

JK Rowling seeks to make that happen.

2). DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY WOMEN DON'T LIKE WALKING HOME ALONE IN THE DARK? WHY WOMEN FEEL AFRAID OF WALKING THROUGH CITY PARKS AT NIGHT? WHY UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES OFFER A BUDDY SYSTEM TO GET WOMEN FROM THEIR CLASSES TO THEIR DORMS OR CARS AFTER DARK, ETC?

Trans-activists rally on about how men violate women, but claim all transwomen are "safe" in women's spaces. The prison system study above has already established the presence of trans-violence in our society, so it's illogical to claim that all transwomen are safe. If you insist on forcing women to accommodate transwomen in our private and vulnerable spaces, you are like the incels who get upset when women choose the bear. You may as well force women and little girls to walk home alone in the dark, or through the city park at night. Your apathy towards female rape survivors is an affront to the "Take Back the Night" protests that shed much-needed light on the violence women and girls endure at the hands of the male population.

Statistics have already proven little girls are at risk in their own washrooms and that the rate of violence has increased since Self-ID policies were passed.

The presence of recording devices in women's washrooms has also increased since male predators have had a green light to enter our spaces under the guise of trans-identity. This means women and young girls are being watched when we change our period cups, tampons and pads. We should not be offering predators the ability to access female spaces at any time, for any reason.

3). DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY WOMEN & ESPECIALLY GIRLS DESERVE THE RIGHT TO SCREAM FOR HELP WHEN WE DISCOVER A MALE-BODIED ADULT IN OUR POOL SHOWER OR BATHROOM? OR DO YOU STILL INSIST THAT WE ARE BIGOTS FOR HAVING THE SAME INSTINCTUAL FEAR OF A LAMB WHEN IT SEES THE WOLF?

Men's Rights Activists claim it's petty for women to worry about someone elses genitals, but the fact remains: women (and in some instances, little girls) have been raped by transwomen and male predators in female bathrooms, changerooms, prison cells and rape shelters.

AND WE CAN TELL WHEN SOMEONE IS A MAN.

We do not need to see someone's genitals to know whether they are male or female. If a transwoman has been through multiple feminising surgeries and they pass as female, they do not need to worry about being harassed, so long as they are discreet and don't expose themselves in the pool shower or nude spa, as has happened many times. The reasonable, respectful transwoman who passes as female understands why women and girls are fearful of the body part men have weaponized for thousands of years to harm females. If they are discreet, they will never be detected as male and no harm is done.

In reality, most transwomen do not pass for female. Isn't this why so many trans-activists applaud hormone blockers for pre-pubescent children? It's the boys who need that the most, if they want to pass as female when they are adults. I do not support this practice due to the documented harms it has already caused - but the reason trans-activists support the drugging of children is precisely because it's well established that boys have a very difficult time passing as female, once they have gone through puberty.

The adams apple, the large hands, the straight hips, the deep voice, the big bulge...

Women have been getting cat-called, molested, raped and murdered for thousands of years in every culture around the globe. We are no different than the lamb that can sense the wolf, especially if we have already had an unfortunate encounter with one.

CONCLUSION

While many gender critical feminists have deep empathy for anyone with genuine dysphoria, the fact remains that we still retain the right to centre biological women and girls in our feminism, for reasons concerning our safety and comfort. Everyone knows that men prey on women, even though we also know that #notallmen harm us. The fact that some harm us, is why we needed sex-based protections in the first place.

If you can agree that women deserve protection from the men who harm us, you should agree that women deserve the same protection from transwomen who are violent. The statistics are very clear on trans-violence against women, girls and children, as they are on male violence that is perpetrated against us. It also should be noted that while women are aware of violence that is perpetrated against transwomen, that is also largely by men. Women should not be commanded to accommodate potential predators because of harms that are committed by men.

It is unfortunate that law abiding transwomen are absent from female advocacy, but they are no different than the honest, law-abiding men who understand why women need and deserve consent. A transwoman who is law-abiding also knows that #consent for women is the founding feature of our safety.

If transwomen really want to understand how it feels to be a woman, they need to start advocating for the end of our oppression as a sex-class. That begins with their willingness to surrender their demands on women's spaces, our comfort and our bodies. It means they have to accept that biological women are also allowed to have triggers. It means they need to stand up for all women who get attacked for speaking about our consent.

It does not begin with TERF-shaming

It does not begin with writing "Kill Terfs" on the walls of Vancouver Rape Relief, as happened a few years ago.

It does not start with demanding women and girls to be their safety net. Instead, they should be our safety net.

It does not begin with dismissing the fears of female rape survivors who have been quite clear about our panic attacks when we see strange male-bodied people in our private spaces.

It does not include demanding little girls or vulnerable women to be their human shields.

JK Rowling is on the right side of history and every intelligent adult who understands female sex-based oppression is incredibly thankful for her charity.

Transwomen who support JK Rowling might just be on the path to understanding what it really feels like and means, to be a woman.
